現在タイのチェンマイに居ます。
バンコクに2日滞在して、その後飛行機でチェンマイへ。
チェンマイ、好きなんですよね。
なんか、バンコクよりワチャワチャしてなくて。
格安航空会社Vietjet Airが安すぎる
バンコクからチェンマイへの移動は国内線の飛行機を使いました。
Vietjet Air（ベトジェットエア）というベトナムの格安航空会社を使ったんですが。
タイの国内線なのに、なぜかベトナムの航空会社だったんですが。
これがものすごく安かった。
航空券はドイツからネットで買ったんですが
バンコク→チェンマイの片道でなんと
1人12ユーロ（約1610円）
安っっっ！
もちろん、荷物の預け入れにはお金かかったんですけど。
それでも、LCCこんなに安いのか！？
タイだから？
しかも乗務員さんがみんな若くて、コスチュームが可愛かった。
目の保養。
おばさんが多いルフトハンザとは大違い。
2年前にチェンマイからバンコクに行った時は電車を使ったんですが
これが辛かったんですよねー、、、。
寝台列車なら良かったのかもしれませんが、あいにく空きがなくて。
普通の座席だったんですが、シートがほんの気持ち程度しか倒れず。
しかも車内が超絶寒かった。
年中暑いタイは、冷房ガンガン効かすのがおもてなしみたいなとこあって。
寝袋がなかったら危うく凍死する所でした。
寝袋持っててホント良かった、、、！
通路を挟んだ反対側に、鮮やかなオレンジ色の衣を着たお坊さんが居たんですが
そのお坊さんはそのうっすいオレンジの衣しか持ってなかったみたいで、めっちゃ寒そうでした。
、、、まぁお坊さんは運賃もタダらしいので、そこは気合で耐えたりしたのかもしれませんが。
話が逸れましたが、、、
話が脱線しましたが。
で、チェンマイに行くのに激安LCCを予約してたんです。
15:45発の飛行機に乗る予定だったので、空港には1時間前の14:45には着いていたい。
で、空港まではバスで1時間ぐらいかかるので
まぁ道路混んでるかもしれないしって事で、余裕を持って13時にはゲストハウスを出る予定でした。
「13時出発とかヨユーヨユー！
朝ごはんは昨日見つけた素敵なカフェでクロワッサンとカプチーノにしよう！楽しみ！」
なんて、前日は話してたんです。
寝 坊 し た
で、チェンマイへの移動日。
起きて時計を見てみると
もーびっくり。
時計間違ってるのかと思ったけど、これが全然間違ってなかった。
とにかく飛び起きて荷物をパック。
顔も洗わず歯も磨かずにすぐ出発。
てゆーか、ゲストハウスのチェックアウトとかこんな時間で大丈夫なの！？
耳栓してたから外の音とか全然聞こえなかったけど、もしかしたらドアノックとかされてた！？
って思ってゲストハウスの人に
「すみません、寝坊してしまって、、、」
って謝ったら
「あらあら♡」
だって。
タイ人、大らかすぎるだろ、、、！
で、荷物を持ってワタワタと外に出ると
ちょうどそこに空港から泊まったゲストハウスに人を運んで来たタクシーが！
ナイスタイミング！
そのタクシーに乗って、空港へ向かうことに。
タイのタクシー
「タイのタクシーにはボラれる。」
という思想を持つ旦那は
メーター付きのタクシーにも関わらず、一定料金で行ってくれるように交渉を始めてしまう。
ゲストハウスの人曰く
「空港までは300バート（約1045円）くらいで行けるよ〜」
ということを聞いていたので、300バートで行ってくれと交渉してみたけどダメ。
結局、400バート（約1390円）で空港まで行ってくれることに。
でさ。
タクシーのお兄ちゃん、飛ばすよね。
すごい早いの。
さすがバンコクのタクシードライバーって感じで。
どっかのお豆腐屋さんみたいだった。
みたことないけど。
もしくはヒゲのイタリア人おじさん。
途中何度か他の車にぶつかりそうになりながら、でもぶつからないもんなのね〜
と感心しながら1時間後。
無事に空港に着きました。
最後メーター見たら
300バートよりちょっと少なかったよね。
結局、メーター使って行った方が安かったっていう。
旦那のバカぁ、、、。
飛行機には無事間に合いました
チェックインを済ませ、手荷物検査を通り、、、
結局、飛行機には間に合いました。
良かった、、、！
まとめ：時差ボケに注意！
今回の記事では
寝坊して飛行機に乗り遅れそうになった話を書きました。
寝坊したのは、完全に私達のせいです。
前の日の朝は9時には暑くて目が覚めたので
この日も大丈夫だと目覚ましをかけなかったらこのザマ、、、。
でも、言い訳をさせてもらうと
前日、よく眠れなかったんですよね。
蒸し暑かったのと、ベッドが硬くて狭くて寝辛かったのと。
あと、時差ボケもあるのではないかと思います。
タイとドイツの時差は6時間。
そのことを全く頭に入れていませんでした、、、。
旅行の際は、時差ボケや体の疲れも考えて行動しないとですね。
ちなみに
バンコクの空港内にはファミマがあって、おにぎりが売られていました。
チェックインの列に並んでいる時に、ささっとごはん。
ご飯が若干ベチャっとしてたけど
久しぶりに食べるコンビニのおにぎりが美味しかった、、、！

飛行機の日なのに遅刻は焦りますねw 長旅で時差ボケですから、寝坊もわかるわぁ・・・

お坊さんは本当に寒そうでしたね、、、。でもだからこそ（？）タイ人のお坊さんに対する信頼も厚いのだと思います。日本のお坊さんとは大違い、、、^^;

オニギリは確かに人をホッとさせてくれますね^^ 海外で食べるオニギリは格別だし、一時帰国で最初に食べるのもいつもコンビニのオニギリです（笑）
LCCで飛んだのですね～～(^^)/ わたしは書いたかもしれないですけど、寝台車で確か１３００円くらいとか。。。時間かかったけど、とても感動しました。寒くて寒くて、よく風邪ひかなかったな～～とつくづく思います。おにぎり良かったですね～～(^^) わたしも大のおにぎり好きです。チェンマイ楽しんできてください。

A CM local here. After reading your posts I’m glad to know that overall you seems to enjoy your time in CM. Anyway sorry for some inconveniences you might encountered while you were here.
Regarding trains, we plan to make many more routes, some are highspeed train. The route from BKK to CM has already been signed the MOU between our government and yours (I mean Japanese gov, not German) It would be a highspeed train. However there will be 2 phrases. The first one will be from BKK to Phisanulok. the second will be from Phitsanulok to CM. So, as you cna easily see from the plan, it would take times. Sorry again for the inconvenience. (Add here: BKK also construct more MRT routes in the next 4-5 years (at least 3 which has been signed. There will be more) so the triffic (which jam beyond words) will be more jam during that time.)
Regarding taxi, the gov (along with social network) try to make it better. Still not as good as it should be. Anyway don’t trust them too much. Choose the one with meter and GPS. (The gov regulated a law that every public transportation must have GSP few months ago. Still some does not do that) Also you can download the app “DLT Check in” ( you can Google it for download. I’ve never use it but it seems like you can report and review the taxi you used) ) or called 1584 regarding taxi issue ie. deny you. Don’t forget to remember their plate no., and, if you can, the driver’s name. It would be helpful to the authority to track that taxi.
TH (and also CM) is not different from every places. We are just a small country which have good and bad things, also good and bad people. Hope you see the first ones wherever you go.

Sorry if I gave you an impression that we have a bad feeling about TH. NO, WE LOVE THAILAND overall! CM is one of the most favorite cities of us in TH. It’s beautiful, relaxed and people are so nice. (And I love Kao Soi!)
We sometimes feel unsure though because the systems are so different. But I guess it happens everywhere, even in Europe.
Also thank you for the useful information. Next time we use a taxi, I’ll check the app “DLT Check in”. Especially my husband is sometimes worried to be ripped off by bad people(well in the article, that was our fault that we had to pay more…!)
At this moment we’re running around in Mae Hong Son Loup with a motorbike. That’s also so nice. We fell in love with the town called “Mae Sariang” where we’ve been staying already for 4 nights.

To be frank, not just you but from many JPese blogs/forums I’ve read I found that on average you guys seems to like us a lot more than I thought. Somehow it makes me (or I should say Thai) a bit embarass since I know that we are just a small country. There lots of things we have to do. 🙂
Many Thai can read JPese and other languages like Korean, Chinese, or Western languages. We just don’t talk much, esp. something deep down regarding how we feel. I think that’s one common between Asian culture. For me, I can read but cannot write (that why I comment in English).
Not sure if the DLT still work. Haven’t heard anything from this app lately. You can try it yourself. But the phone number still works as far as I know.
Yes I understand the ripped off. We Thai sick of them too. Really sick. They are short-sighted. Please tell you husband on behalf of all Thai that we sorry.
BTW, be cafeful riding or driving in TH. Personally I would notv recommed any tourists to do that. As you might already know there are tons of accidents. Some from our fault. some from the visitors’. So be careful.
If you love Mae Sarieng I guess you’d love small and peaceful country side, not metrocities. Here is another info, a bout a month ago, TAT (TH Authority Tourism) just planed to extended more of tourism to other provinces–second tier provinces beside BKK, CM, Phuket, etc. Most of them are the type of what you like–small, peaceful, rural, laidback. Plus there are local culture to be learned. Try Nan, Phayao, or Lampang of the north, or the northeastern parts next time.
